The UK-GolfGuide.com website is owned and managed by COsys Management Information Services who are based in the Black Isle in the Highlands of Scotland.

Background

Initially conceived in 1995 in the back garden of a house in Warwick (after a glass or three of wine), a site called UK-Golf.com was originally intended to be a short lived test vehicle to assess the effectiveness of Internet marketing in the golf and travel sector.

In spite of a total lack of planning, any clear strategy, any web experience or development skill, the site stuttered into life to eventually become a major information source in its chosen area and like Topsy, it "just grewed". The UK-GolfGuide.com site was launched in July 2001 to take over from the creaking UK-Golf.com site as a dedicated golf course information resource capable of coping with the ever increasing user demand.

Last month, the UK-GolfGuide site delivered 3679502 pages to 208372 unique users

Site Objectives

The objective of the site is to gather and present information on golf clubs and courses, golf hotels, and suppliers of products and services which are felt to be of interest to golfers resident in the UK and to golfers planning to visit the UK to play and stay. The website is a blend of supportive information published by COsys as well as promotional and transactional pages created, published and maintained by COsys on behalf of its clients.

The COsys philosophy is to offer help and advice to Internet users on any matters relating to UK golf tourism and to ensure that client pages are effective in their primary aim of increasing business through Internet based marketing.

A summary of the current UK-GolfGuide.com site performance can be found at the Site Summary Page.
