Styrrup Hall Golf and Country Club Player Reports
M East (England) 04/05/06
Played Styrrup lots of times now a good winter course but hugely overpriced at £22 when you look at the courses around it.Greens are poor and too much walking between tees even more so since the layout/hole change. Some fairways very poor but in time will make a nice course and be worth the price being charged but not for a good few years yet.

Played on 19th dec 2005.Was assured course was on full tees and greens,it was not, mats in play on 3 holes and temp.tee boxs 10 -20yards from normal tees. This I find annoying when i had phoned the previous day to check.i thought the course to be in ok condition and the greens were acceptable for the time of year. Some greens were soft some harder depending on the part of the course you are on .It is is forgiving and maybe for the single figure player not challenging enough but for the mid to high handicap player it would provide a good days golf.I payed £16 that also included fish & chips. It is worth visiting the course, found members and all staff to be very friendly.

i found this to be a very forgiving course. the course is only a few years old and the tree,s lining the fairways are only a few feet tall. the result is wayward drives dont often get punished, as shots back to the fairway are often unobstructed. (which suited me just fine) this said, the course is long and the shorter hitters might find it a struggle. the third hole is a mind boggling 711 yrds off the white tee's and 681 off the yellows. don't let the newness of the course put you off though, as all in all it is a cracker. £16.00 well spent. will definately be going back.

first time i have played this course, and i found it to be a most enjoyable round of golf. The course is suited to both low & high handicappers alike. It is one of the best maintained & friendly courses I have played in a long time - at £16 per round, an absolute bargain !!!!!!. Will deffinatly go again.
