Location/Description:

Founded in 1908, Newcastle under Lyme Golf Club has always been based on its present site, but from the original 9 holes has been extended to the present 18 holes. Much of the course is played through mature woodlands and presents a stern test for all degrees of proficiency.6395 yardage, par 72 and SSS 71.

Newcastle Golf Club is just off the M6. Exit at junction 15 and follow signs to Newcastle A 519 passing Holiday Inn Hotel on the left hand side. Proceed through one roundabout and one set of traffic lights to the second roundabout at which you turn left into Dartmouth Avenue. the entrance to Newcastle Golf Club will be found just beyound the next roundabout.

Alternatively take the A53 from the town centre to Market Drayton and Shrewsbury. Proceed through traffic lights up the hill to the roundabout. The entrance will be found just off the third exit.

Catering:

Catering every day from 10.00 a.m., but limited on some Winter evenings.

Jeans, trainers, denim type material, football and rugby shirts not allowed anywhere on Course or Clubhouse.

No outdoor clothing allowed in Clubhouse.

Collars must be of a recognised golf type. Shorts must be tailored and worn with either long socks or short white sports socks.

Mobile phones not allowed on course, but may be used in the vicinity of the stairs leading to the first floor in the Clubhouse.

Visitors:

Visitors welcome most days, except Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Guests of members may play any day.

It is always best to check with the Pro Shop regarding availability of the tees.

Societies:

Societies and Group bookings are also welcome. Cost of green fees depends upon number in party.

Catering packages to suit everyone.

Corporate Days are also encouraged.
