Windy day, course took the massive amount of recent rain quite well but was starting to churn up. No temp greens. Used 241 voucher else I think the green fees were a little expensive for mid-week. Lots OOB but not too many trees. Can be wild off the tees on many holes but be ok. We had a course map so we new where we were going to each hole but could be tricky without one. As said before 2nd hole is a strange one and two decent iron shots will be enough for this par 5, as your first shot is blind over a hedge and then you come back on yourself. Nice par 3, about 6 or 7th into secluded green.18th hole nearly killed me as it was into the wind and over 600 yards. Catering facilites were quite good and the staff were friendly. Overall would go back, but there are lots of others courses quite close to this one that i would like to try first.

This course will be more of a challenge in a few years when current trees get a chance to mature. The course relies on use of OOB pegs to make some of the holes more challenging as there is little in way of trees to protect some holes. Some longer than average holes and plenty of room (good for the long but not always straight driver as there is always a chance to play a recovery)but not always utilised in layout, an especially weird 2nd hole which is more easily hit with 2 irons than using driver.
Excellent practice facilities and greens with interesting undulation and excellent condition throughout and with the 2 for 1 offer some good value for money.
Overall the course does not make you think about your shots as much as it could, with more carefully fairway bunkers and as trees mature will become a sterner challenge, still good value for money.

The club has a par 3 9 hole course in addition to the normal 18 hole 'proper' course, and it was on this 3 par course that I played.
By the narure of the beast, a 3 par course is short, but some of the holes were much longer than usual (one approx 220 yards), giving the opportunity to hit some longer shorts durong the game. Fairways and greens in good condition, with plenty of variety - flat, undulating, up hill, downhill. No tree cover to speak of, but the longer holes were wide enough to cater for some of my less accurate shots.
Good facilities to hand - driving range with targets, putting green with bunkers to practice out of, and reasonable food from the bar - just be careful where you try to walk whilst wearing gold shoes!
