Played the Waterloo course on a Saturday and was most impressed. Fairways especially impressive and the whole course was very well manicured and a credit to the greenkeepers.
A good mix of different holes with the 10th only a mid length dead straight Par 4 but one of the narrowest fairways I've seen for a while, complemented by the 11th, a sweeping dog-leg, then the 12th, a par 3 that played into the wind requiring a well struck 3 iron. The 14th is a very tricky test as the tee shot is semi blind and even the short par 3's bring water into play.
£31 for a weekend green fee represeneted good value for money and am looking forward to playing here again.

I am a member at wentworh golf club and i wanted to see how other clubs where run. so i went to other regions and i played the waterloo course and it was very nice. I had a good challenge but i thought the holes could be a bit longer.
My fav hole is the 6th as it is a long par 5, the drive has to go between two trees. it is easily parable. The off course facilities are ok. the driving rang is a bit of a down point.

I played the Wellington a few days back, and to be honest I wasn't too impressed. Yes, the course is in great condition, but it's not a course where you come off remembering many of the holes you've played. I think the 1st and the 18th are through trees, but the remainder are very open and very forgetable.
At £24 a round (midweek), there are a lot of better courses around for the money.
I did play the Waterloo course a year or so ago, and I would suggest that anyone playing Sherfield should play that one. It's much nicer.

I have played both the Wellington & the Waterloo more than once and have had a wonderful challange every time, both are in wonderful condition and the greens and fairways immaculate a real credit to the ground staff. Fave hole has to be the 15th on the Wellington course. would recommed these to anyone.
Don't know anyway esle near London where you can play allday for less the £30.00.
