This Golf club have a nerve charging £11 midweek for green fees on this course. It looks like nobody looks after the course at all. There are hardly any proper tee markers.. some are just plastic bags screwed up and nailed in the ground, there is rubbish everywhere inc Vodka bottles, beer cans and even an old exhaust on the 11th tee. There is kids and members of the public walking around unchallenged and stealing balls. If yo want to pay over the odds for a game of golf by about 90% then this is your place!

Its not a bad course. I started playing 3 years ago, i found it challenging at first but after a year of playing i got my first and only whole in one!!! The staff are very friendly and supportive, this is the course for beginners, but the 9 hole course canbe a challenge.

i have been a member of this golf club for some years.i have never heard of anyone breaking par on the 18 hole course and if the 9 hole isnt hard why does a lancashire player and an ex tour player become members.by the way,the owners and staff are second to non

Just come back (7pm) from starting this morning at (8.45).
I regularly play this course, with the 18 hole course being my favourite, as it suits my game, short & sweet!
The 9 hole course is a little trickier, with long straight holes, doglegs, and a lake.
I would recommend the 18 hole for beginners, but the 9 hole is more demanding, it could be slightly off-putting for a beginner.
With greens fees today of £10, I really do feel that I have got my monies worth (twice round the 18, twice round the 9, and 9 holes on the 18)
I like this course so much so, that we have inquired about becoming members.
Have a go on this course, what hvae you got to loose?

If you are an absolute beginner then the 18 hole course itself will be ok for you if you can get it at a quiet time. Read into this what you will, but on the two occassions that I have played it there has been an abundance of burberry, fake gold and cheap cider present on the course which I found permanently off-putting.
In startling contrast, the 9 hole course is actually quite good but I have been forever put off by the local youths.
