Not the longest or most testing of courses. But in our society we have a very mixed handicap range so that meant we all had a really good day out. Greens and Fairways all in great condition and the course has a good mix of holes. Other than the course, one of the best reasons to come here is the welcome we received. Don't think I've been to a friendlier club on a society day. Nothing was too much trouble and even the members wished us a good day and hoped we liked the course. Highly recommended.

As well as being a fair test for players of all standards, with excellent greens ,decent drainage & a well manicured course, Abridge has just recently refurbished the clubhouse too.
so if its notorious "amen corner" blots your otherwise perfect scorecard, you can reflect on it in the comfort of the new visitors changing room, with its powerful showers & then its very smart restaraunt & bar. Enjoy.

I visited Abridge with a society on July 5th and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The course was in superb condition and altough the morning was a little damp the greens were still fast. The par 5's are not too long which gives good opportunities for birdies but watch out for Abridge's 'Amen Corner', three long par 4's to start the back nine, out of bounds one side and trees on the other!!
I would recommend this course to any golfer, it has excellent facilities and friendly staff.

A tough but fair challenge to all standards of Golfers. Course contains four par 3's, four par 5's and ten par 4's. All the par 5's are under 500 yards and should be considered good birdie opportunities.
The front nine is easier than the back nine. The back nine starts with Abridge's equivalent of Amen corner. Three 400 yard plus par 4's each with OOB on the left and trees down the right.
The course has some of the best practice facilities in Essex and a very freindly well stocked pro shop.
