Played here midweek February 07.
Overall i thought this was a decent course all be it a tiring one.
Initial impressions when you pull in off the dual carriageway aren't overly inspiring. The 1st is a mundane par 3 & the 2nd a long uphill slog (likewise the parallel 10th hole). After this the course really comes into it's own.The rest of the front 9 plays through woodland with a great variety of interesting holes. The back 9 is more open & by the time i'd negotiated the steep slope up to the 15th tee it was starting to become hard work. The course then eases up as the last 4 holes are fairly level.
The course conditioning was superb (the best i've seen this winter) with lush fairways , immaculate greens & lovely bunkers. The greens were almost scary fast .I found them tricky as it was difficult to get the ball close from long range & if you missed an 8 footer you could easily leave youself with a 3/4 footer back. Although not massively undulating they had subtle slopes & breaks & combined with the speed you had to be very precise( if the greens are this quick in the winter it could be like Augusta in the summer).
The overall presentation & good bunkering here give a classy feel.
If you're prepared for quite a hard walking round then this is a course worth playing.

Great day, spoiled by my car being broken into in the car park. apparently this is a regular event - so be aware! note to the club...more security please.
That being said, a good friendly welcome and a real golfing challenge, if a little pricey for midweek.

Played this weekend and I must say its one of the best Ive played. The greens were fast and true, the facilities are superb and the members extremely friendly...There are some stunning holes with a particular favourite being the par 4 3rd where one can easily rack up a very high score!! The course demands a lot of straight shots and will punish errant drives (as i found to my dismay) I will be returning and also enquiring about membership

Having read the positive comments below I was really looking forward to playing this course - but was hugely disappointed when I did. Perhaps it was a question of timing - the greens had been heavily spiked, and the weather wasn't great - or maybe the fact that there are so many blind shots off the tee that it's really difficult for the first timer (even with the course guide) but I clearly missed the charms that everyone else found. A particular disappointment were the greens which were very slow.
I'm going to try it again as I'm sure (for the reasons set out above) I must have caught it on a bad day (I played to my handicap so this isn't a bad golfing day sulk!). Maybe with the greens having recovered and a little local knowledge I'll see what everyone else has found. On the positive side, can't fault the hospitality or the friendliness of the members.

Played this course just before Christmas. Front nine more picturesque than rear. Good greens (no temporaries) and some challenging holes.
Hilly.

Superb course one of the best in the area. Greens are fantastic, fast and true and allways in perfect condition. Have played severel times with society and friends all sing its praises, can not fault the course in any respect. Have played many courses and you will be hard pressed to match this gem. The other commnt here is for addington court not addington palace

this course plays well for a busy course the greens are very good at this time of year having two 18 holes togethrh with a 9 hole keeps waiting times down alot better than other local course: and at 10.00 cheaper than most /13.00 across the road
