Played the last week in april with a society and found the course to be ok, the grass on the fairways was prob too long but i can undertsand why when they are trying to protect them for the summer months. The greens were by far and away in the best condition of any course i have played this year altho they ran very very slow and were a bit flat for my liking. I live over an hour away from the course and to be honest would not travel that way just for a round when i have courses of this nature on my doorstep, but if i lived in the area i would use it. I liked the mix of holes altho in some places it looks like they have tried too hard to squeeze in the holes. But to be fair the club does not try to hard to be anything its not and all in all i had a good day. Holes to enjoy are the two short par 3's on the back 9. Make par on those because the two long par 4's on the back 9 could bite u

Played with our society in the depths of February, we could just not fault anything about Alresford GC. The winter offer was superb, the course, a good traditional test with a mixture of some fairly short par 4's with three real long stinkers, a good mixture of directions of play, and a welcome from officials and members as warm as have been found anywhere (we have played over 130 venues in 15 years!) - utterely recommended for anyone

This is quite a short testing course tucked up in the wonderful area of Alresford. Although it has some easy holes it also has some of the toughest as well. The course is in good condition throughout the year and is well worth playing, especially if your course is closed in the winter. It has friendly members and nice professionals. This course is well worth the visit !!!
