Played this challenging course over two days in a howling gale.
It is perched right on the top of a cliff overlooking the Needles and Isle of Wight and the views are stunning.
We found the course is excellent condition with the greens running flat and true, the wind can play games with your mind and adds to the challenge.
The modern clubhouse is a delight, with pleasant welcoming staff and the balcony overlooking the tricky island green is ideal for sitting out on and taking in the scenery.
Good pro shop, also helpful.
Stayed in nearby Stanwell Hotel in Lymington, only about 4 miles from course and worth a look also.

What a great day out, great courses ( 3 x 9 ), excellent clubhouse, great layout. Cant wait to go back.
Gary Funnell (Spain) 09/09/01
Good testing course on all 3 nines. Needles is especially testing when the wind is blowing. Have played this course in dry and wet conditions of the courses in the area it dries quickest and is open a lot more than any others in the winter.
Nice island green par 3 finish on Needles.
Best nine holes are Becton.
Steve Wright (leicester) (Spain) 05/12/00
Played the course in late october .Excellent condition and testing, we enjoyed the course, facilities and the welcome, will return in the future
Tom Payne (Spain) 02/09/00
An excellent course with a marvellous backdrop provided by the Isle of Wight. Testing par fives mixed with par threes made interesting by water hazards. Pick your day carefully though - the sea produces gale force winds making conditions difficult. Pick a nice day though and you will have a wonderful round.

As mentioned previously, if you get the right weather a day here will be well worth it.
We played all three 9's, all different in their own way. Some excellant par 4's,interesting par 3's and some tough par 5's.The greens were very true and well paced although we played at the end of April and so the course may wear a little as the year goes on.
Nice clubhouse with stunning views over the sea.
All in all great value for money.

Top course, Highly recommended for golfers of all ability as the three loops \r\nof nine offer challanges to different skilled golfers.\r\nThe staff are friendly and the facilities are very good.
A GOOD DAY OUT, NOT TO BE MISSED!!!
