Fabulous club.
Beaconsfield has an old world charm, yet is friendly and welcoming the club house and locker room are relaxed, and the staff extreamley helpful to visitors and societies.
I have played it only 4 times as a visitor, and would move house if I could just to be local enough to be a member.
The fairways, and greens are perfect, and the course although not difficult, is challenging.
Love the place!!

The course has been established for around 100 years and it showed in the best possible way. The clubhouse had an old worldly charm lost by so many courses where you have wear a jacket and tie in the main bar after 7pm. The changing room had leather Chesterfields and lockers were the old Oak variety. That said everyone was very friendly.
The real beauty was the course where every hole was tree-lined and the whole course greens, fairways and tees were well irrigated. The greens were the fastest I'd come across except the West at Wentworth. The roll was true and they held a flighted ball. Most of the holes were visually appealing purely because of the well kept nature of the course but the best two holes were probably the SI 1, 6th a dogleg right which requires a 250 yds shot to the top of the hill and 5-iron over a deep gully to a well kept green. Apparently the house next to the 7th tee is the perk of the Secretary - nice work if you can get it.
The other great hole was the Par 3, 12th which had OB on the right and anything short or right went into ravine (where I ended up, bring your ice-axe)
In summary a great parkland steeped in tradition go play it if you can.
