Bidston Golf Club Ltd Player Reports

Got to say that DC's report on the course couldn't be further from the truth. I agree the course was in magnificent condition and a tough challenge with so much internal out of bounds. I have played a lot tighter golf courses than this one. Bidston Golf Club well worth a visit!!!! You wont be dissapointed, I wasnt!

A much improved course over the last 10 years. Thoughtful tee shots are a necessity on a number of holes. The greens are usually quite good with a number of tricky reads. The short 16th is lovely hole over the meandering river (birket). On this visit, the course was a little wet and a bit muddy adjacent to a number of winter tees, where there could have been some improvement nevertheless, it was generally good value for money and worth a visit - very friendly, down to earth people. Catering and hospitality was pretty good.

Excellent greens and a challenge for all levels. The only thing that could be improved is directions to the next tee as some are a bit of a walk. All in all an excellent day out

Bidston is a fairly short course with excellent greens and good fairways.
There are lots of internal out of bounds to make the big hitters think before they tee up.
The par 3 16th is a potential card wrecker with out of bounds and thick rough to the left and rear of the green.
A new locker room and Pro shop is planned for 2003 to improve the facilities for visitors.
