We played this course on our journey up country for a weeks golf in the Scottish borders. Despite being on the outskirts of Darlington, this course is well landscaped and very pictureque. The course was in fantastic condition when we played. Even though it is not a long course, some of the par-3 holes are well protected by bunkers which makes it tricky. A nice touch was the score cards with a mini course planner on it. All things considered and it was a thoroughly enjoyable round. Our only regret was that we were unable to book a tee time on our journay home!
Chris Balodis (OXON, England) 02/04/02
The only unfortunate thing about playing this course, was the fact I had to play off the mats instead of the regular tees. This is a very nice short course. The seven par 3's are all tough. The greens are quick and well manicured. Added to that, the friendly staff, I very much enjoyed this course. Big hitters will like the long par 5 holes, but accurate shots are needed for those par 3's. One thing to mention, it has more bunkers than are showing on the current card.

An excellent short course that is very 'tight' which therefore requires both driving and long iron accuracy. Seven par three's possibly detract from its effectiveness but non can be considered poor. Course condition is exemplary.
