Boldmere, is a great place to start off!!! I played boldmere about spring time and found the length of the course easy to cope with, but young thugs that have come on to the course have ruined the greens with there bikes and stealing the flags dosent help either!!!!!!!!!! ci went roung in 65 off the yellow tees and i was rather pleased. The holes that i foung the most difficult are the 3 holes that are up in the forest, they can destroy your card!!!! It was a pleasure to play.

Boldmere is a nice little course but it is really suffering from the bad weather lately. I wouldn't recommend you go there too soon as the course appears to be flooded. I would recommend it to juniors and adults who would like to improve their short game. It has some challenging par 3 and 4 holes and you can enjoy a nice short game of golf.

'Looks can be deceptive' is obviously on the mind of Boldmere's pro shop. It a small cabin full to the brim of the latest names and technology in golf, a real Aladdins cave. The course has a main rd running downing its one side, with a lake and beautiful parkland on the other. The front nine is a mixture of par 3's and a couple of 4's fairly easy, the back nine gets marginally trickier but for a constantly used municipal Boldmeres is worth a crack.

While the course layout seems to match the par, it only suits the beginner from the perspective of course management. The grounds are either over-used or under-maintained. Prepare to play your fairway shots from divot holes that have not been repaired.

This is where I started to play golf. A nice course and quite challenging with a good mix of easy and difficult holes.

I have been a member at Boldmere for a number of years, Its a friendly club, and has a very good membership. We have a variety of club tournaments through the year, The Stan Jackson Trophy(pro-am)\r\nand many otheres. The course in general is less demanding than some, although it is tricky with a good selection of par 3's, which can prove a real test. I would recommend it to you for improving your short game.
