I play regularly with Braeside glf club (situated at Beckenham Place park). Its a wonderful golf course - not especially long, but each hole has its challenges, and can trip the most experienced golfer up. The course is beautiful - especially in Spring and Autumn - watch out for the green parakeets flitting about. Friendly atmosphere and not at all 'stuck up' - good caff for bacon and egg sandwiches after your round...

I am an absolute beginner - about 6 lessons with a pro at a range and this was my first real golf course. and excellent one for beginners - most of the holes are fairly straight and wide so newcomers won't feel intimidated.
