Played end of July following ANOTHER wet week !!! The Pro Shop gave us a price of £27 for 27 Holes using a 2-4-1 .... can't complain @ that price !! The Course is fairly undulating (12th & 15th especially) with great views over Manchester on the 12th. The Course offers a good variety of holes, which need careful navigation on most, especially the last three short holes. The River Medlock comes into play on 6 Holes and there are quite a few OOB markers dotted around the Course. We did 9-Holes in the morning and got some refreshment & food @ 11.30 ‘ish. Nice Clubhouse, pleasant staff and the food / snacks on offer was excellent value and plenty of it. We ventured back out in the afternoon but the rain had started again !! Although the Course / Greens got very wet, it was far from boggy and the Course stood up very well. Will re-visit next ‘Summer’ …. if we have one !! Only criticism was the lack of bunkers on the course. There were a number of Greens & Fairways with no bunkers at all.

Brookdale Golf Club is for me a great round of satisifying golf.
I have recently become a member of the said course and cannot speak of it highly enough.
With it being a private club, the general upkeep of the course is immaculate. There are always groundskeepers on the course maintaining the courses quality.
As for the course, I find the front 9 easier than the back 9, mainly due to the fact that the back 9 start to get a little hilly.
It is a challenging course with difficult hazards and obstructions to navigate. Some holes you hit down to, and some you hit up to so it is a mixed challenge course.
I would have loved to have played this course before joining but can honestly say that it is most definitley money well spent on my part.
A great course, friendly staff and a very helpful pro make this one awesome to course to be a member of.

Our Golf Society visited Brookdale for the first time on 9th September 2005.
If I’m honest, when I told the others where we were playing, none of them had ever even heard of it before and it was only the club website and couple of other reports on here that convinced me to give it a try.
However, deciding on a visit to Brookdale proved to be one of the best decisions I made this year.
It really is hard to believe that this club is situated so close to suburbia and is easy to find. A warm welcome and hearty breakfast from the excellent caterers set us up for the day.
Looking over the course from the clubhouse balcony you realise that you will have a few climbs ahead of you and this certainly is the case.
The first 6 holes behind the clubhouse warm you up for what is to come. From the 7th onwards you enjoy a “roller coaster” of holes beautifully set out in and around the river valley.
Despite a few blind shots, the course is an excellent test of golf, not too long for us amateurs and in superb condition for late summer. The clubhouse facilities are excellent and all in all, this club more than deserves the “Hidden Gem” title.
The most ludicrous thing was the green fee we paid…….£20 for the full day for 27 holes! They could easily add a tenner onto that and there would be no grounds for complaint!
I can’t say I know the local area, so maybe it is a busy and popular club but it was fairly quiet on our visit with only a few others on the course all day.
I can recommend Brookdale Golf Club to anybody for a great day out in a beautiful and friendly setting. We will certainly return in the future.

What a fantastic course. The quality of the greens and the fairways were wonderful. In winter you have to play of little portable mats but that's a little sacrifice to make for a lovely course located so close to the centre of manchester.

Played here on the 2 fore 1 deal. Very good value and a fantastic course. Who would have a thought a course so hilly could be only a few miles outside Manchester. Very interesting course, especially when you get to the par 3 down to the river. From here it is brilliantly set out. Staff and club house very nice.
