I have played this course a few times now and have never failed to enjoy it. A very nice mix of long and short holes. ALways in good condition and the course is playable in winter too.

though only a par 68 the course was always a challenge. the quality of the greens was excellent. the elevated tees and greens with gulleys - gorse and bushes inbetween made you concentrate at all times.complements to the staff. definately worth a return visit.

I have played this course twice and, although I am a high handicapper, I managed to score reasonably well on it. I found the course both challenging and well kept.
However, my father, his friend and I turned up for a round yesterday afternoon for which we had a tee time booked for and we were greeted in the pro shop by the rudest man I have ever come across in my five years of playing this game. Basically the comment was along the lines of I don't care if you have a tee time booked, I didn't book it, there's a competition on and you ain't playing! Fair enough if there is a competition on and there had been a mistake but that doesn't give a reason for the way we were spoken to.
I certainly will not be returning to this golf course.

Bulwell Forest Golf CLub has now been traken over by Roy Truman, the new club professional. It is no longer looked after by Nottingham City Council as it has turned private. They have got new greengreepers in, and now the course is in better shape than ever before. It has some very tricky holes, but they just build up to the quality of the course. Very cheap Pro Shop as well as value for money round of golf. Well worth a play!

For the price you pay on this course, it could be better maintained. That aside, the course is quite challenging because of the vast variety of holes. Your tee shots really have to be accurate. There are many hills, short and long holes. It is spoiled at times though by the fact that many fairways are so close together that you end up getting in the way of other holes. This can be a nuisance at times. However, it is quite challenging as a course goes, and worth a visit.
