Bungay and Waveney Valley Golf Club Player Reports
Adam Dalby (England) 06/08/07
Just played this course in a recent County Mens 2nd Team match. The course itself is a heathland and played on a common, and is relatively flat, with a valley running through the course.
The greens were a bit slow, just enough so that you were having to "hit" putts instead of "stroke" them. Holes of note include the narrow, long par 4 8th and the difficult downhill 11th, the fiddly 14th and the long uphill par 5 17th (the only one!)
Its worth noting that the fairways are inconsitent, sometimes bare, sometimes lush, and there are a few rabbit holes in most fairways - what you would expect on common land.
The clubhouse and facilities are best described as adequate, but the clubhouse does have a nice conservatory. Food was okay, drinks were average price.
For the price, its not bad value.
