Three of us play this course just about every week throughout autumn and winter(we are not members); and have to say this course is always in fabulous condition. 99% of the time you are playing on full greens which are always in great condition. The staff are always friendly and very helpful if needed. Thouroughly recommended.

I played this course Sunday 10th June 2007 in a three ball, the course I would consider average. I feel £30 would be too much and glad we used 2 for 1 which I felt was better value and about right for the standard of the course (we paid £20 each) The scenery is the best thing about the course, breathtaking, the course is a short one, two par 5's. Although some of the holes are basic the course as a whole is interesting and very tricky in places. The condition of the course was average, daisys on fairways and the greens although patchy played well. I felt the hole the worst hole was the 8th where you tee off 2 metres away from a busy road. Apart from that it was a good test of golf and a great day. The Clubhouse was welcoming and flexible however we were disappointed on returning at 6pm to find the clubhouse had stopped serving food.

buxton & high golf course is a little gem of a place - our society of 24 played here on sat 10th march 07 - we were welcomed by the clubhouse - welcomed by the pro shop & afterwards in the clubhouse we were welcomed by the members - tee mats were in play but it was low season - the fairways were dry & firm & the greens were brilliant - just under 6000yrds - a little gem

Our society visited this course in june 97.\r\nBuxton is a homely club with a friendly clubhouse\r\natmosphere - the course whilst undulating is not\r\nso up and down hill as some might imagine for \r\nDerbyshire.The course has some terrific holes\r\n(partic. the 4th) and offers a good test to most\r\nif not all levels of player.Well worth a days \r\nvisit - but be sure to take your umbrella and\r\nwaterproofs!
