I was lucky enough to play this course with my society on March the 10th, the weather was terrible and only managed to play 12 holes, before the greens were too wet too play on.

But this is nothing against the club, the amount of rain that had fallen in the last 24 hours would have filled a olyimpic swimming pool let alone flood a course.

The green keeepers did everything they could to get us out on the course, and concidering at 9:00 when it stopped raining the greens were flooded at 10:00 our first group teed off, the course just swollowed up the water.

We got to the 4th before the heavens opened once again and it took our 4 ball till the 12th before the greens were flooded once again.

But for those 12 holes the course was fantastic, it just proves that a course doesnt have to be stupidly long to be challenging.

When we got back to the club house and we weren't the first to call it quits, the club house served us a lovely meal, and offered everyone who didnt finsih there round a half price round if we would like to return, and also charged the society for 9 holes, great customer service....

If you haven't played this course you really should give it a go, its not cheap but its well worth it.

Played here on 23rd March just avoiding the snow the next day. Considering that there had been some pretty wet weather over the previous week this course was in immaculate condition. At the end of our round none of us had to clean our shoes and had no mud on our trousers. This track is a top drawer course in the Surrey heath/heather belt. The greens were in excellent condition for this time of year, as were the bunkers - trust me. Quite a lot of courses seem to neglect bunker raking lately.

The course is not particularly long and is playable by all standards of golfer.

I believe that their standard g/f is £50, which I guess is about right for the standard of course in this area, however we paid £35 for one round as part of a society (no food), so got a good deal.

The halfway house after 10 does a good sausage sandwich whilst you're waiting for the par3 11th green to clear. And what a great hole number 10 is as well.

Go there, I guarantee you'll enjoy it and want to go again.

I have now played this lovely old (100 years) course twice. Its Heath and Heather - with plenty of the latter beside - and often expanses of it in the middle of - the fairways. Its about course management rather than length. Careful accuracy and choice of landing is the order of the day - the rough (heather) is rougher than a porcupine's back. You are heavily punished if you go astray. You have to pass under a concrete tunnel twice to play a number of the holes - but this the only distraction on an otherwise elegant and traditional course. No water but the signature 18th is a long kamikaze drive from an evelated tee over a dip and then a heather coated hill to a hidden landing in the second valley (or you can chicken out to the side) - against the odds, I've managed the drive both times!. Its then a lofted club to the green which is also elevated - it is blind from the fairway - over club and you will pepper the bar area and you will not be popular. The member I played with tells me there used to be a glorious old clubhouse - this has now made way for a brand new very plush clubhouse with lots of good facilities but rather less character. The food is excellent. The course and greens are immaculately kept. There is a sandwich bar on the 10th (not 9th) which is remote from the clubhouse. It doesnt open on Tuesdays (ladies competition day - and apparently the ladies dont buy......). Highly Recommended.

Returned here to play on 2nd July with 3 friends and have to admit these were the best greens I have played on this year, in fact the whole course was immaculate.

Green fee of £68 for the day was not bad considering the quality of the course, and I would recommend playing here if you have not already done so.

Typical Surrey "Heath and Heather" course, lovely turf and fairly easy walking, although some holes have quite a trek from green to tee.

The par 3's are worthy of note, all requiring first class shots to make the putting surface, the 2nd hole in particular...make sure you take enough club or else you could be in 4 putt country!!

Par 5 3rd is worthy of note, lovely hole, would find a place on any golf course I have had the pleasure of playing.

This was just a pleasure to play. Standing on each tee made you think about the shot in hand. Although I struggled, as some of the tee shots were very tight, I would reccomend this course to anyone who has the chance to play it. Course was in very good condition with great greens.

I hope to return one day.

Played on a cold windy March day with a society, the welcome received from all at the club was second to none. Despite inclement weather, all main tees and greens were in use and all in good condition, whilst the halfway hut was open and well used by all. Excellent course winding up and down through typical Surrey heather and pine trees and one that I would certainly recommend

This is a great course. Lovely setting plenty of elevation as a 16 handicapper I found it challenging but playable and the Greens were in tip-top condition.

We played on a brilliant sunny Friday afternoon/ evening -superb. Our evening was marred by one arrogant member who insisted on commenting on dress code(exact sock length) from the packed clubhouse balcony as we putted out on the 18th.

Assuming you don't meet him you'll love it. Not cheap but you pay for what you get.
