this is a lovely nine hole course, only only problem is, it has a steam running through most of the holes and i keep getting my feet wet, if you want a friendly game of golf this is the place to go, its only ten mins from the airport, so i was on a business trip and stayed at the village hotel which is 1 mins walk, i just turn up, and not having golf clubs i went to the pro's office, all he did was shout out to the members in the bar, "anyone lend the guest some clubs" i was offered ping, nike and john letters, but i took the callaway x-16's, the caddie i got was great, he told me all about the course and what club to use, he cost me £3.00 but tipped him £20.
what a night, i went round in par, (+2 HC), steak and chips after and drank the bar dry with the very friendy members, all in all nice game of golf, but you need to take £300 pounds extra to buy drinks for every one

I played Cheadle as recently as 23/4/07 and found the condition of the course very good. It is a challenging 9 hole parkland course and you can spoil your score on many holes if you are not accurate. The greens have been treated and tined and will be excellent in a few weeks. The catering was very good and the Steward was friendly and helpful. I will return when next in the area. Good value for money

Played Cheadle @ the end of March having recommended our Golf Society to play there as I had played with some members a few times in previous years. What a difference !! The Greens were in appalling condition which made the afternoon disappointing for all concerned. The members we spoke to afterwards were also very disgruntled and it doesn't seem a happy club @ the moment. After each paying £18 each for a round, we were then handed out vouchers to play again for £10 a round at a later date !! Cheadle is a 9-Hole Course, flat, but with two very long par 4's. There is a small brook that runs through the course that affects a number of holes. I don't know what is wrong @ Cheadle @ present but I won't be returning for a while. Not like it used to be !!
