Very simple to describe my experiences at Clitheroe - super.
The course is always in good condition, the greens are terrific and the fairways always pristene.
I always think it's one of those courses where if you don't drive well, you have no chance of scoring well. Tight tree lined fairways seem to be all around, and bunkers are strategically positioned to catch the stray drive.
16 to 18 always seem to leave a difficult finish in my opinion, with the par 3 17th a real beauty in every sense.
The pro is extremely helpful and is a very welcoming figure to visitors.
The catering is superb, the off course facilities are difficult to criticise in any way in all honesty.

Clitheroe is a must for any visiting golfer or Society and is Parkland Golf at it’s best
We paid our third visit on 8th September and aided by perfect weather found the course to be in superb condition. The setting is great, a mature parkland course with 18 individually framed holes many with tree lined fairways which gives the need for some straight driving.
You can escape to the country here and the only building you see all day is the clubhouse at the start and the end of your round
The whole experience at Clitheroe is superb. Off the course, the members and staff provide a warm friendly welcome and the catering is second to none. All encompassed in a great modern clubhouse with excellent facilities.
The Club does have a website although there is no link here (yet) so do your own search and see for yourself.

Having played Clitheroe for the first time on Sun. 1st Sept. in the mixed open foresomes I hope I will get the chance to play there again soon! The course itself was in superb condition. Greens immaculate, warm and friendly welcome from the club members and officials and gorgeous weather too! The course was a fair test, good shots producing good results, whilst mistakes were fairly penalised. An excellent day out in all respects.
