This is my home course, very friendly in clubhouse/ shop. The course is very hilly (hire a buggy)some nice par3s and a couple of terrible holes (especially in summer the 10th &12th are blind all downhill sure thing you will loose your ball or get it nicked)It is good value but gets very busy all year considering this the course is in good condition with the amount of people who use it .Can atract idiot golfers who have no concept of the rules of golf, kids on motorbikes can be nuisance but this is a public park.Give it a go you may like it .

A short, but quirky parkland course well worth checking for a different day out. It has been revised over the last few years, unfortunately ridding of the old long 200 yard uphill par 3 second and 230 yard par 3 ninth to accomodate an extra par 5 and par 4 to extend the course.
Of the front nine, the par 3 sixth stands out, as a tight shot through the trees to slightly raised green above a sea of trouble. The second and fourth require accuracy with the out of bounds on left, while the eight and ninth provides the John Dalys oppurtunity to get home in one.
Of the back nine, the tenth is my favourite. Down into the steep valley with the copse on the left, trees and stream to the right ensuring that the absolute perfect tee shot is required.
The blind short par 4 twelfth around the trees requires a lot of skill, whilst the par 3 sixteenth over the ravine is a spectacular challenge. If you ever end up in the 'Devil's Dike' bunker on the 17th then you might as well just mark a 12 on your card...
Overall the shortness may detract, but the unique par threes and driveable par fours provide a fun day out. Remember the driving range, leisure centre and clubhouse that pulls a great pint!

A very difficult course to play with some great par 3's, check out the 16th, over the ravine of trees with its own babbling brook, I prefer the temporary green on this hole myself. Then there is the tricky sixth, where if you don't hit the perfect tee shot between the trees you've got to go looking for the ball. I can imagine the sixth hole to be busy with hold ups in the summer. Another favourite is the postage stamp sized fifth green which believe me can be very fast, a true test of any good golfers metal. Incidently a larger fifth green is in the process of being built behind this original and if it looks like it does then as it does now we are in for a real treat, the topography of the sward has to be admired, a very large green with four flat playing surfaces. I have played Concord golf course twice now and will certainly be back again, oh check out the local flora and fauna, loads of blue bells, wild mushrooms and I even heard a woodpecker, see you again...
