A challenging but enjoyable course. Greens true and fast, fairways in good condition. A couple of small niggles. A few walks between holes are a trek and people want to repair pitchmark and divots more often. Well worth a trip though

The 9 hole Village course is superb with some interesting challenging holes, with a long par 3 over a lake. The 18 hole Woodland course is challenging with narrow fairways, so accuracy is key. High handicappers may struggle.
Both courses are kept in excellent condition with quick, true greens.
The off-course facilities are good, but not outstanding.

A fantastic course, loved it so much that i ended up joining. The Woodland course Holes 8-13 are a real test and all vary and all just as tough. All these holes are tree lined from tee to green, so no margin for error. Not a course where you can hit your driver on every hole as you need to have some good imagination about your game. Sadly there are a couple of poor holes one being the 18th which is very ordinary for finishing hole. The course is mainly woodland and up and downhill in places but a very pleasent place to play golf with stunning views and the members are very friendly. Would recommend to anyone no matter how good you are as it gives a good challenging test to all golfers. Could maybe do with the odd pond on a couple of holes especially the 18th to make it more interesting. Club faclities good and food is excellent. Well worth a visit.

Played this course recently and would suggest if you are a keen golfer you give it a try .The set up is certainly interesting with a fair few dog legs ,some narrow fairways and the odd totally blind hole .First peice of advice is buy a course guide without [as I found out] you are almost playing blind on a number of holes .
Downsides well the course is up and down hill so a lot of buggys get used and with the group in front of us by would be rally drivers ,who even went across the edge of the green and refused as a four ball to give way to anyone.
The other problem is only if like my playing partner you are attached to your driver because a lot holes reqiure a small wood or long iron from the tee for safty .
In short a really nice course .8/10

We played both the 9-hole Village and 18-hole Woodland courses on a Saturday in July. Apart from the alarming proximity of the driving range to the first hole on the Village course, we found it to be a testing precursor to playing the Woodland course, which is quite simply delightful. As the name suggests, it is set in lovely mature woodland, with many tree-lined fairways. Particular mention should be made of the par-3 3rd hole, with the green set in a quiet woodland glade, and the strength-sapping uphill dogleg par-5 10th, which plays every inch of its 523 yard length. The greens were not short of immaculate, playing slick and true, and the course layout was interesting and varied. The only thing to let down this wonderful course was the locker room facilities - the showers were rather cold, and there was a rather unpleasant aroma eminating from the WC's. Overall though, this is one the best courses we have played, and was suprisingly quiet on the day we played... well worth a visit.
