Played this today using a 2FORE1 voucher, excellent value high season golf at just £17.75.
The course is the 2nd highest in England and affords some splendid views although I imagine its hard work on a windy wintry day.
The course is heathland and fairways are firm and bouncy although we found the greens on the slow side but they looked in need of a cut.
The holes themselves are splendid as you expect from a McKenzie design but the close proximity of tees to greens and criss crossing nature of the early holes do mar enjoyment of the front 9.No such gripes on the back 9 tho where the golf flows a lot better. You do need to be straight off the tee to avoid the gorse but if so the course does offer up the chance of a good score.
Well worth a visit.

This course is one of the best around in the Huddersfield Halifax area. With improvements always being made. Always a few degrees colder up there and windy most days! The course drains well and is always in great condition. Is a must play course if your in the area.

Awsome course, a great challange for all golfers. You just got to keep it under the wind!!! lol
Alex Kaye (England) 18/05/02
This course is unlike anything you've played before, on a nice day the course is spectacular and on a typical day the course is as challenging as any you will find
