Deangate Ridge Golf Club Player Reports

A decent golf course with fantastic greens. Everyone who has played it with me for the first time cannot believe it is a council run course. The greens would not look out of place on a championship course (And I have played a few)
Not a great test of golf but ok....
Check it out if only for the greens and the £13.00 midweek green fees
F Gilmore (England) 08/08/06
Fantastic........the greens are the best I have seen in Kent including the Open courses. £13 midweek cannot be beaten in this area. Would recommend to anyone.
Food good value for money too.

Recently played here as part of a society day. The course was on good form, and not too slow. The service provided and the catering facilities made it such a fantasic day. We all had a great round of golf and throughly enjoyed the day. We have already booked another date in November

With the addition of the new driving range a couple of years ago Deangate has become good little course, especially for a council run course.
On a good day this can be a very testing course both in a golfing sense and physically. Cardiac Hill (the 14th hole) is a killer par 4. The only draw back as stated in the other reviews can be the overcrowding, this coupled with some drainage work started several years ago can be extremely annoying. But over all a good days golf.

Deangate Ridge is challenging course with no two rounds being the same. If your driving ability is not up to scratch you could find some of the holes difficult to reach in regulation. The only let down of the course is the hard fairways caused by over crowding. The traffic can also cause 5 hour rounds. Overall this course is the best value for money anywhere in the country.
