In my opinion Delepre is ideal place for the new Golfer. I started playing there 2 yars ago in 2004, working my way up from Jakcs 9 hole (3 par all the way) to the very interesting Harding Stone 9 and eventually onto the Oaks 18.
Delepre really does provide Golf to all. Don't get upset if the kids are making too much noise on the driving range, because they will. On a Saturday, its common to have your ball stepped on by a youngster on the putting practice area.
The enphasis at Delepre is to Enjoy Golf. I recommend anyone who is starting out to make use of Delepre's excellent facilities. For the experianced Golfer, stick to the Oaks course if a bunch of amateurs and weekend golfers gets on your nerves.

Advertises itself as golf for everyone and pretty much succeeds in this. There isn't much on the 18 hole Oaks course to excite too much but is well worth a hit. Greens are usually in decent enough shape, if a little long.
If following a bunch of total hackers around dressed in jeans and t-shirts is not up your alley, this is not for you. Also best to avoid totally in winter as the drainage is very poor. But for a cheap, easy round of golf you could do worse.

Delapre golf course is the best golf course i've seen in a long time. the green staff do a great job looking after the all the courses. the best course out of all of them has to the hardingstone nine, its a great golf course and is looked after so well.

A course to stay away from in the winter, some of the worst drainage I have come across.
With a pitch and putt, two par 3's and 27 main holes, the complex offers graet variety. Howeevr, the holes are very easy, with the only test coming from the lies that you find in the 3in fairways.

If I could recommend any course in Britain this would be the one! I have played every posible course avaliable here and they are great especially the main 18 holes. The grouds-staff do a great job!(Welldone Dave + Co!) and the staff are very helpful in the shop and reception area (Welldone Julie). There are great competitions for All ages throughout the year and this is thanks to Elle and Ruth. The teaching Pro's are very helpful thank's to Graham + Co. The food is amazing (I recommend the cheese burger and cappucino).

having played the hardingstone course for the first time on 13/9/99 i thought i should write to let people know of a public gem on the doorstep of northamptons golfers. the staff in the pro shop and reception area were amongst the most helpfuk i have come across in my time as a player. the course itself was in exceptional condition apart from a couple of greens that had been spiked and sanded the 9th hole being the worst of these but after a near 300 yard drive i wasn't that bothered. the second hole proved to be a nightmare for me as a left-hander as i played every shot with the ball a good foot below my feet due to the severe slope on the fairway. all in all a very good course if you only have a couple of hours to spare and a pitch and putt doesn't take your fancy.
