I am the seniors secretary at Bramshott. We play matches against several clubs along the south coast and there is not one course, private or municipal that can match the Bramshott greens. The view from the cluhouse restaurant(the Solent Suite) cannot be bettered, especially when one of the grand liners is berthed. you would have to travel a long way to find a more friendly group than the Bramshott seniors, who average a turnout of 50 on their Monday concession times, no matter what the weather. With green fees very competitive this has to be one of the bargain courses in England.

Not sure why this is called Bramshott since it is clearly Dibden municiple GC. However it rates as one of the best that I have played. Excellent facilities with putting and chipping areas, plus a large shop and club house.

Initially played the par 3 course which is much more than a pitch and putt, having two par four holes, which I suspect were part of an original layout. Greens were excellent, but tees very scabby and would have been better with mats. This was the only course where a course marshal asked to see my ticket - clearly standards are high.

Played the 18 holes in the afternoon which were a delight. The hilly course gives views over Southampton water through pine trees and whilst not overly testing a good line is needed on all holes. The bunkers were evil with very steep sides.

A course I will return to.

this is my home course

it is a brilliant course in both summer and winter there are some long par threes and you can reach the green on two or three par fours. i would recommend this course to any player high or low handicap.

superb course at such a low price!

This course has to be one of the top municipal courses in the country, with some excellent holes. Although it is quite short, you need your accuracy. A lot of work on drainage has been done in the past 3-4 years, and despite the comment below I think the greens are in excellent condition.

I would recommend that you don't play here though, because it is really really busy, and I wouldn't be able to get on, if all of you turned up :)

A super course.

This pleasant parkland course has suffered over the past few years, and both the fairways and greens are now slightly worse for wear. It has several interesting features though, including small lakes, ditches and general undulations. And at just over £10 per round, is good value!

This is my home course. It is a municipal but it

has a reputation for excellent greens in summer. Not a long course but quite tight and tricky in places. There are 5 par 3's, four of which are very tough. The front nine is longer than the back but this course still requires a decent long game if you are going to score well. It is a parkland course, lots of trees and a few undulations.
