Visited Disley in May 2008. This place really is the ideal Golf Society Venue.
Off the course, the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful, especially the Secretary. The catering was second to none with a great breakfast and lunch.
Just driving into the Club gives you a bit of a feel for the course and you are not disappointed. It's a great setting and the course makes good use of the natural contours and was perfectly manicured with lightening fast greens. I imagine it may be a bit bleak in the Winter but the scenery and landscape make it a great place to play golf.
All in all a most enjoyable day and definitely recommended to others for a Society Visit.

I took a day of work and played a round with a member of my family, we were squeezed in between two competitions and was looking forward to playing. There had been heavy rain the day before and drove over an hour from Sheffield. I received a warm welcome but was hungry after the drive and was a little disappointed the kitchen and bar was closed so I had to make do with just a coffee. The course provides a testing round with various holes and breathtaking views. The greens had been heavily sanded which made putting difficult. My main two issues was the speed of play and the drainage of the course. We were told in the pro shop that there were no temporaries only to find three around the bottom of the course which was still very wet, as we moved up the hill the conditions obviously improved. We were booked in behind a seniors competition of which were very pleasant and friendly however we were expecting to fly round the course but instead were held up on just about every hole apart from the last three, I'm glad I had taken the day off that's all I can say. Overall we had a good days golf and good value at £14 with 2 fore 1 vouchers, I would like to come back to Disley and play it in the Summer months and see the course in its true light.

This course is amazing! Situated on the side of a hill with far reaching views of the pennines, and the peak district, this course provides a great game of golf. The fairways are in great shape, and the greens are among the best in Cheshire. Recently, areas of the rough have been grown out to provide natural areas to promote wildlife and flora, and heather and gorse have been reintroduced. This gives the course a very natural feel while still providing great playablility. The greens staff do a great job here, and are always very friendly and accomodating. All in all - a great day is to be had for all at Disley Golf Club.

This course is great fun in the summer but in the winter it is very soggy the greens are a mess and the fact that the greens and fairways are very old show in the winter. As in the summer the course is bright, fun and very playable.Once you have played in the summer this is the only course for you.
