Played this course june 2006. Fantastic. Greens and fairways in wonderful condition. Tough test from the tips and fullyunderstand its status as an open qualifier. Mega value for money. almost as good as it gets.

Played in late October 2005, very wet weather but course stood up well. Had caddied here in Lytham Trophy some years ago and wanted to play it because of its reputation as having more bunkers than any other UK course - 193. Went into around 192 of them and out first time on each occasion. A superb course and a good test of golf, driving at a premium because of the traps. Parkland course though trees are not overpowering but give good hole-separation. Reasonably priced especially considering its pedigree. Only negative comment is that the staff appear somewhat aloof - as if from another century. No pressure of numbers on the course. Probaby not sought out as a venue but well worth a visit.
