Played here on Saturday 16th Dec with a small society. Great welcome to the club, and a great breakfast before teeing off. First hole sets the tone for the course, not long but very challenging. This is definitely a thinking golfers course, not a 'grip it and rip it' set up. As wet as the course was, top marks to the greenkeeper for the condition of the greens,they made for a great days golf! Very friendly members in the bar afterwards too! All in all, a fantastic day out at this time of year. The biggest compliment is the boys cant wait to come back in the spring!

This is an absolutely charming club. It is deciptively tricky and you have to think your way round which compensates for it being relatively short in distance.They have done remarkably well considering the recent weather and the greens were good. The rough is fair and tough if you go off line! The clubhouse is good, with excellent food if a little slow when busy but does not stay open that late.

Nice driving range which is up behind the car park and the new putting green looks great! Mr + Mrs Davies own the club and they a seem to be making a real effort to make it a pleasant experience.

As others have said below this is definitely a course that proves that golf is a game of direction not distance.

We played last week and despite the weather had an enjoyable day. Not only was the course was in great condition but the Cranleigh members we met on the way round were all friendly and welcoming.

This course has a deceptively benign look . That soon evaporates when actually playing. The tough rough,many lateral water hazards together with small fast greens and narrow fairways add up to a real challenge to anyone who takes it on. We were lucky enough to play from the white tees which make the job more difficult and the first tee was very daunting indeed. a par three with o.o.b. a waterhazard and surrounded by bunkers.

The course carries on with a similar level of difficulty.

The narrow fairways and fast greens make it necessary to think about positioning constantly. scoring well is not easy on this difficult tough course.

Overall we all agreed it is well worth a visit.

Cranleigh golf course it a short one, but don't let this fool you! It's tricky opening three holes packed tight to ditches, tree's and punishing rough make it far from! Not to mension Amen corner!

A fairly interesting and picturesque parkland course. It is fairly short and played even shorter in the hot, dry conditions which we encountered.

Plenty of opportunities to practice irons off the tee - your woods should stay in the bag almost all day here ! The greens were in quite good order

(most reasonably quick) but look out for fun and games on the sloping green at the short 17th, particularly if you finish above the hole !!

The clubhouse is fairly impressive - set in a 400 year old barnhouse apparently.

Perhaps a little expensive at full rates but certainly worth another look on 2-FORE-1 terms.
