Played last week using two for ones. Under twenty quid and good value for a course this challenging and interesting.
Great layout (if you like hills!) and a number of ditches, water and OB to keep you on your toes.
Greens were a bit iffy but i expect they will shape well after some decent weather.
Will definately return in the summer for another go.
Nice clubhouse too especially with Warsteiner on tap.

I have already written a report below about the course, but i would like to add my congratulations to our head green keeper and his staff whose work over the last year has significantly improved the drainage and playability of the course. If you are visiting this area or a local who just fancies a change of scenery then you will be most welcome.

Played Fishwick Hall on Sunday 8th September and what a day we had. I organised a Society package for 28 golfers consisting of 12 holes in the morning and 18 in the afternoon. The service from all associated with the club was excellent and members were friendly and keen to offer 'advice'.
The course was in very good condition considering the amount of rain that had fallen the previous couple of days. A special mention about the greens - they were extremely quick and true. Greenkeeper take a bow !!
The first 12 holes are very well thought out with the view from the 2nd tee enough to frighten the most accurate Driver. The 11th and 12th will give anyone an appertite for lunch as you make the steady climb back towards the clubhouse. 13 to 18 are a little bit up and down but with enough interest and dangers still to wreck or make a good score.
In summary I would have to recommend this course as a must for any Society as it will appeal to all levels of Golfer with Clubhouse Bar and Food service to match.

Just spent a lovely 4 and a half hours in the company of very friendly members emjoying a good round of golf. Greens are in very good condition after the work that was done over the winter, and I haven't landed in any of the lakes or streams for weeks! As has been said before, nor mega-long but the first 12 holes really require accuracy. The 12th is the real card wrecker, with the 7th and 17th being easy birdy opportunities. Let's hope summer continues to next weekend at least!!!

Being a member here i believe i can offer an honest opinion of Fishwick. The course plays in two distinct sections. Holes 1-12 are Parkland style which get wet during the winter months. Platforms and winter greens have been used from mid October. From 13-18 the holes are more similar to links, dryer fairways and quicker greens. I love the view from the 2nd tee and hate playing the 9th especially during winter when the drive never rolls. Play it with a member as it isn't worth £26/£31 of anyone's money.

Generally a good quality course- creative layout, some challenging approaches which can leave even the more acomplished golfer in bother- just ask Ryder Cup Captain Mark James who I saw take three to get out of waist-high bunker on the 17th a couple of years ago at a charity event!
Not sure how it plays in winter but drainage is not a problem being so near to the River Ribble, so it plays admirably well into November
