Forrester Park Golf and Tennis Club Player Reports
Nik Brunner (England) 23/02/04
I played on a Sunday afternoon after a club competition. I enjoyed a terrific lunch with my wife and children prior to the round.
The club manager went to some effort to find some members to join in a round with me so as to avoid me playing on my own.
The course itself looks well cared for. Some tricky long par 3's and some shots that require a bit of thought due to tight fairways or gaps between trees. All though the course is "young" and landing on another fairway is not the end of a good round it is a good course to test your accuracy on. Some of the greens lie in behind lines of trees that take some accurate shooting to get past.
Greens seem fine and it was one of the drier Essex courses I have played on during the winter. (My waterproofs were dry all the way to the bottom)
Tip: Save something for the 18th, a tight tee shot between some big trees and a fariway that slopes up and to the right can make for some tricky shots.
