I first played here in September last year but due to huge cock ups in the catering (we were entertaining six clients) I held off posting a report until we returned. I was right to do so as the on the return all went well!
In September we played the Bernhard Hunt and thoroughly enjoyed it, can't remember anything in particular about it due to above mentioned cock up. I do however remember it being an excellent track.
We have just returned and played the Longcross, this is an excellent course with some fantastic scenary. Two of our fourball said it was the best course they had ever played.
The course is predominantly tree lined with some excellent tunnel effect tees, straightness from the tee is rewarded. Some of the holes are lined with rhododendrons and are quite spectacular. Despite some very wet weather the fairways and greens were in great condition off the fairway and the odd tee box were a bit sodden.
The catering this time was up to scratch, although pricey.
I would definitely recommend, despite the cost.

Played Longcross course yesterday. Despite heavy rain over the past week, course was in great shape, if a little damp, which only served to lengthen it. Greens were without fault; slick, true and consistent. Lovely parkland course - tree-lined fairways, trees in bloom. Many tight drives, with irons being used on many. Tough, fair challenge. If the weather is nice and you have time - enjoy the facilities on offer for practice, leisure (tennis, pool and gym on site). Bar / restaurant has terrace and rooftop terrace overlooking course. Pro-shop well stocked.

Just had a two round break at foxhills playing the longcross then the bernerd hunt, both excellent tracks, scenic, challenging and different. Even in off season no winter greens in play and temporary tees were not mats and were a mixture of whites red and near yellows. Recommend a visit, excellent facilities and friendly staff, as good as it gets within M25 for upper end course under £120.

I played the Longcross course in Sept 2005. This has to be one of the nicest courses in the area. Very tight in parts as I expected but does loosen it's grip on you (slightly) as you get past the first 6 - 8 holes.
I really enjoyed the whole experience - excellent course in superb condition + facilities all round.

Foxhills is a real treat considering how close it is to the M25. As you drive through the gates you soon realise this is no ordinary course. Lovely facilities and grounds really set an air of expectation for the golf. We played the Longcross and it was in excellent condition and a real test. Tight tree lined fairways and lovely greens make this a very challenging course. We paid £37.50 each with their own 241 offer, which was good all round value for money. Recommended!

Played 36 holes today. Really enjoyable in nice sunny weather. The courses were in great condition. Played the benard Hunt in the morning and it was a long course where long drives were needed to hit par four the greens in two. The Longcross was completely different in that only hit driver on two of the par fours. the rest a four wood was sufficient. The three memories I will have of the resort are:
1) The greens are diffciult and in great condition.
2) The stunning design of some of the holes especially some of the par 3s and also the 10 hole on the hunt course and also one of the par 5s on the Longcross (i think the 14th).
3) how tired i was after playing 36 holes - having a buggy for the second 18 definitely helps...

awesome course - never played better, not as long or as tricky as I'd been led to believe. Great value for £17.50 (2-FORE!-1)

Just to add to my comments below......
Played here again yesterday using the "2 fore 1" voucher scheme (which Foxhills have only recently started accepting) and played 18 holes on the Longcross course for £17.50!! An absolute bargain and if I was off work today would be their playing again!!If anyone can find better value for money than this, please let me know! Bearing in mind we are now in November, the course was in beautiful condition with fairways better than most other courses have in June/July!!
Now if only I could get my head around this putting lark!

Played here for the first time yesterday in a Society day and even though I was teamed up with 3 complete beginners and was looking for at least two golf balls on every hole it didnt take away my enjoyment of the courses. Played the Longcross course in the morning and like previous reports state, a very tight, wooded 18 holes where the premium is on straight driving rather than out and out power. Very enjoyable and some lovely holes.
In the afternoon we played the Bernard Hunt course (although we only played the front nine) and once again, previous reports are spot on regarding it being a little more open and longer. Some lovely holes again, with a couple of very tricky par 3's where if you make par you will feel like you have just made birdie. I would recommend these courses if you are in the area, but as nice as they are I feel that £70 for a days play is a little steep for a day ticket.

The slightly poorer mans Wentworth (although still a stinking rich man) the Foxhills complex is about as good as you will find. Two delightful courses and many other facilities on top. The Longcross is a tight tree lined course that demands some straight hitting and a lot of thought before you reach for the driver. The Bernard Hunt course is more of a parkland layout with some quite stunning scenery. Nowadays the fairways are lined with some fiendish rough which is never cut. This looks stunning and does create a great deal of strategic value but I question whether it is desirable given that the Longcross is so tight. It would be nice to revert back to the more open parkland as before so as the two courses compliment each other. Nevertheless, this is a delightful place to play golf with some classic holes that are always, in the summer at least, in immaculate condition. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy.

Foxhill's demonstrates all that is great about golf in Surrey. The pro-shop is well equipped and has demo clubs available. The clubhouse is pleasant with good food.
What really makes the club however is the courses. Longcross reminds me of the Edinburgh at Wentworth and it is played through the pines and uses subtlety and tightness rather than length as it's main protection. Beautiful course.
The Bernard Hunt is different in that it far more open in general than the Longcross but is longer. Some of the holes are very difficult indeed and the Par 5 7th is as harder a 500 yd hole as your will find anywhere. Some lovely driving holes where the tee is way above the fairway mos notably the 10th.
Both courses were immaculate with great true greens.
The complex is expensive but arguably worth it particularily if your take a day ticket and play both courses.

For me, Foxhills has to be one of the finest golf set-ups in England. The Chertsey course (or Bernard Hunt as it is now known)offers a stern (and lengthy) test of one's ability off the tee. The stretch from 3rd through to 12th (via the welcome halfway house) is one of the most enjoyable and civilised run of holes imaginable. The course is long and tough, set in a mixture of wonderful woodland, and is one you will never tire of. An absolute joy.
The Longcross also provides a stiff test of straight driving. Slightly tighter than the Chertsey, the course weaves its way off through a labyrinth of tree lined fairways. Memorable holes are the par 5 14th where a taxi fare is advisable to get you from tee to green, and the combined 18th which returns you to the superb clubhouse and pro-shop complex.
A day at Foxhills is one any keen golfer owes to himself.
