Played yesterday on twilight green fee, this is an excellent course which is quite long; per previous comments its quite flat but well manicured tee's, fairways and greens which were running well. Off the fairway and beyond 1st cut of rough could do with a bit of a clean up but given the excellent weather of late I know a lot of courses have seen the long stuff shoot up! Very Enjoyable. Could do with better facilities for vistors in terms of changing rooms.

Played here December 07 (£22 using a county card).
This course was a bit better than i was expecting. It's a very flat, treelined ,well conditioned course & a lot of holes look nice visually with a good variety of trees lining the fairway & with quite a classy design.
On the visit, tees were good ,fairways had excellent grass coverage & greens weren't looking quite their best but ran reasonably. The greens tended to be very long (some must have been at least 40 yards)& narrowish & were well shaped.
The length & shape of the greens means there are plenty of options for interesting pin positions.
This course has been well designed & has visually good bunker positioning.I enjoyed the front 9 more than the back 9.On the latter 9 i found that the holes, although there was nothing actually wrong with them, started to look & feel too similar & after the round it was difficult to remember the sequence of the holes & what they looked like as they seemed to merge into one another .
Despite the level terrain it felt like a long walk round .A case in point was the very long, bland, straight par 5 17th where you just end up bashing woods down it.
There were a lot of on course improvements going on such as treework & clearing out of scrub around tree bases. Some of this was around the the trees directly behind the greens which looks attractive as you look down the hole.
Overall, i'd say that this course has got enough about it to make it worth playing.

We enjoyed another round here in August and, yes, it is very good to note that, this time, we were made most welcome in the clubhouse after our round. I should also like to acknowledge the helpfulness of the Pro and his staff who managed to find us a tee time on a Saturday afternoon.
Clearly things have changed greatly for the better at Fulwell, and I would strongly recommend this course to any golfer who wants a stiff, but very fair, test of his/her golf.

Played 18 early on 06th July. I thought I'd leave this review until a week had passed because it's easy to be swayed by how you well or badly you played - you know what I mean.
Anyway I played pretty well and I have to say we both eenjoyed this course a great deal.
The fairways were in lush condition. tee boxes were well looked after and general state of the course was very good.
What I liked about it was on some courses if you go into the trees you still have a shot to safety. Well thats not always the case here so its a good test of accuracy off the tee. There are lots of strategically placed bunkers which make the course a lot more interesting - if they weren't there a low handicapper would find it fairly easy going. The sand in the bunkers was well looked after as well - I know because I was in half of them !
Practice your sand shots and grab 18 here - a decent test for your game.

Played Fullwell on the 23rd January 2005,
Course is playing wonderfull at the moment,
With some new tee boxes and lots of work around the tees and greens an excellent place to play a game of golf.
Greens were excellent for january started off on the tempary greens which are better than some of the proper greens at other courses then enede oup on the real ones. Putter very well considering the time of year.
Well placed tee shots are the order of the day and need to fairly accurate into the greens to make a good score.
Well worth a visit and as i understand they are contemplating letting the visitors use the clubhouse after the game
Would highly recommend this course to all as a hidden gem in outer london
Steve
