The club is a small honest one that doesn't have all the bells & whistles of a more corporate course. The course is small nine hole course that offers a good test of golf.
We played the course in an 'Open' event at the end of August and it was in great condition.
Most holes have two tees to give a slightly different perspective when you play them for the second time (i.e. the back nine). This is particularly good on the 4th (&13th) hole when on the front nine you hit off from below the green and over a pond. the second time you play you are on a higher tee to the left of the green and the pond is not in play at all.

If you somehow manage to find the damn place you will probably wish you hadn't. I played it 3 days ago and it is the bleakest most exposed golf course in the world. I played with a member who thought nothing of the howling gale as they are used to it. There is zero shelter from the wind as it is located VERY high up and has few trees. To highlight this, I smashed my driver into the wind on a 188 yard par 3 just short and on a 340 yard par 4 hit it again just short.
There is one decent par five there but the rest of the holes aren't up to much. One good thing I will say about it is that for the time of year and the weather conditions we've had it was in good nick. The greens had recently been verti-drained and still ran well enough.
I've got to give it a high "challenge rating" as it was hard to force myself to do the back nine.
