What a little find,a great course presented in brilliant condition.Ok it is not long but you have to plot your way around and think about it.
The greens were in fantastic condition and very quick even after the recent rain.
All of the staff and members were very welcoming,we let a fourball through on the 10th who stopped for a chat and then sped on their way,the Junior Captain joined us for the last 5 holes and is a credit to the club and will be some player.
Would play again

Like previous contributors played mid-week with two-4-one vouchers.
Whilst not hugely challenging the course is fairly enjoyable, especially the older holes through the common. Admittedly, the course was made easier by having the yellows as far forward as was feasibly possible.
Greens were average but tees, bunkers and fairways were in good condition.
Enjoyed the first par 5 but the one on the back nine was far too short. Par 3s were good, although too short due to placing of tees.
Be warned, stray shots could easily maim numerous walkers, dogs and cars. Would also be interested to see how the local cricket club manages to play (the pitch is on the middle of the third fairway) whilst golf is happening?

Agree with the comments before, fantastic course but £40 a little to steep for a midweek round. We also used a 2-4-1 voucher, which made it good value.
As stated before the holes that play over the common are superb.
Overall a very good course and worth a visit, just make sure you use a 2-4-1 voucher.

£40 a round midweek wow. Thanks god for 241 so we played Monday for £20 each. Great course, some really tight holes on public common and a few new holes which are open. Cannot book tee off times as a private club but everyone although at first glance seemed a bit snobbish, were not and all were very polite. If members pay alot then I expect them to look after there course. Bearing in mind that I played in November and the rain had been pouring for 2 weeks prior the greens were A1. Cannot believe how good they were. Great course loved it, too expensive but enjoyed the round a lot. Carpark far to small. Loved the Holes through the common and tight par threes.
