We Played there on June 8th 06. First couple of holes make you think it's going to be a boring day. It's certainly not going to be that.

The course has well placed water ditches at driver length and the sides of the fairways have clumps of wispy grass at knee length, so if you go in there - forget it and take another shot.

The green's were amongst the best i have played this year with some sloped and tiered holes and none of them running true.

Good course for any society

Played the course recently and enjoyed the round, found first 2 par 4's reachable with a decent drive and started to feel a little cheated, don't worry though, it gets better as you go round. There are more ditches than you could shake a stick at (making the purchase of the strokesaver almost compulsary!) and the mature back 9 adds another dimension with some truely handsome trees. It was still suffering from waterlogging on a few of the fairways - some of it quite deep, but the greens were in good condition and the staff were friendly.

A shortish course, protected by hazards and a few tricky greens, The course was in good condition, the fairways were lush and the greens ran true. The par-5 16th was a particularly challenging hole, with 3 well spaced ditches across the fairway at 140, 275 and 475 from the green, making it two lay ups and a medium length approach shot - a nice change from banging a driver and a fairway wood. played in a society of mid and high handicappers, the course gave everyone a chance and was enjoyed by all. I played the course in a society of mid and high handicappers, everyone had a chance and enjoyed the day.

It was a 9 hole course for many years (over 100 in fact) so half the course

is nicely mature and interesting although fairly short. The new holes (just over 2 years old) need a lot of growing in and the fairways are

not great although the greens run fairly well (slow but OK). Some areas of the new holes are pretty scrappy and there are a lot of shortish straight holes (e.g. 1st - 290yd par 4, 2nd - 265 yd par 4) but overall a decent society course.

This course has been made much more appealing recently due to a significant reduction in green fees (from £35 to £22.50 for 27 holes for example).
