Heysham Golf Club Player Reports

Played this course last weekend and is one of the best days we have had. Very freindly staff, great food, and a fantastic course. Played after a few days heavy rain and the course was still in superb condition. The greens were as good as any we have played anywhere. Started off in gale force winds which made interesting play, and finished in bright sunshine with no wind at all. Some of the par 4s are long and into the wind takes some good golf to get anywhere near the green in 2.
A great course with great staff who look after you, highly reccomended

Heysham Golf Club is a great club with their great practice facilities and great professional ryan done i would definetly reccomend it. The Course i think is a big hitters course even though is is only 6266 it has 7 par 4 holes which are over 400 yrds long and the 15th hole is extremely difficult to hit the green in two, it is an uphill dogleg right 459 yard par 4 and usually plays into wind. So there is no way that you could call this course easy. Heyshams greens are also very impressive. I would give heysham 10/10.

We had 36 holes of golf for £17.50 using 2 fore 1 vouchers yesterday. The course was in great condition and the greens in particular were a joy. There is only one par 5 off the yellow tees, but there are plenty of testing par 4's over 400 yards. The lunchtime food was top quality and well priced too. This must be one of the best value courses in Lancashire. Go and play it!

A club with good facilities and friendly staff. The course was testing without being ridiculously difficult. The wind was not blowing too much when we played, but could be a major factor on another day. The only disappointment during our visit, was on the 6th tee, when we let through on request, a 3 ball of women playing a medal, which we were happy to do. But then we spent the rest of the round waiting for them to play before teeing off and playing our approach shots. It turned a 3 and a half hour round, into a 4 and a half hour round. But a good course and worthy of the credit it receives from the previous reports in this section.

what can i say, an excellent course where i recieved a warm welcome from members and staff. the greens crew were very polite and they do a good job as the course is one of the best kept secrets in the north-west. i would recommend that you play this course. also they have an excellent driving range with built in driving bays!

Even though I live near the course, I have only played golf at Heysham 3 times and what can I say! It proved to be a smashing course that a cannot wait to play again. I have quite a large range of courses to compare it with, but it is without doubt the best. Everything from the course condition to the members' attitudes towards visitors was excelent. The only bad thing I could say about Heysham is that it can be windy at times, but other than that, 10 out of 10.
