Hinckley Golf Club Player Reports
Richard Davies (England) 01/11/07
I'd heard numerous excellent reports about Hinckley and finally managed a round in November 07 on a bright sunny day. Excellent clubhouse, and obviously a very busy course looking at the number of members out and preparing to play. The course is without doubt the best I have played so far in Leicestershire. The design is both challenging without being punishing as main hazards are from the tree lined fairways rather than bunkers, though there is water on several holes. The greens are excellent and course is well maintained. I came away having thoroughly enjoyed the course and look forward to visiting on a regular basis. I highly recommend this course if you are in this area of Leicestershire, and with 2 fore 1 vouchers £23 for a day ticket is very reasonable considering the quality of the course on offer.

Considering how wet the summer has been so far, this course was in excellent condition on the day we played it. Well laid out with challenging dog legs and hazards. This course will test and reward you, whatever standard you play to. Along with the friendly and helpful staff, both in the pro shop and clubhouse. I would recommend anyone who has the chance to play this course to take it.
