Having played in Kenilworth's Mixed Open at the weekend I would like to say how impressed I was with this course. In recent years the course has been improved dramatically by significant drainage work which has also produced a wonderful feature of an open ditch running across three holes.
Overall, the course was in excellent condition with the fairways and greens in particularly fine condition. Off the course, the facilities were excellent with food and beverege offering great value for money.
I certainly be playing at Kenilworth again in the very near future I hope.

Lovely course, very nice parkland setting and for an old fashioned club, quite a modern clubhouse.
Facilities generally very good and plenty of good food on offer. The course has change a little recently so the tee shot over the road (4th hole?) is now a par 3, but it doesn't detract from a fine course.

An excellent friendly members club. The course is well established and during the summer the greens are as good as you could expect to find anywhere in our climate.
100 year old fairways just feel different to walk on than other course and the trees lining them let you know that you are following many a character from a different generation around this course.
Dissapointingly the health and safety executive have got their hands on a couple of the holes at the moment and some restructuring is underway but hopefully long term this wont ditract from what is a very pleasant and challenging round of golf.
The members are on the whole extremely welcoming and the clubhouse offers a good pint of Hookey and reasonable food that is well priced.

I played it in July and it is an average members club. Me and my chums play on the 'County Card scheme' and we tried it out as a potential candidiate to become somewhere we would like to revisit. It did not qualify. There was something missing. The back nine look like an add on and there were some strange walks between teeing grounds.
In light relief I nominate it the most signed course in Britain. There are signs everywhere. Int the car park, outside the clubhouse, where to go next, where not to go next. You also need a degree in maths to understand when you can play, 2 balls before 2 when there is an r in the month etc.

Having always wanted to play this course a friend who is a memeber took me there and I have to say I was a bit disapointed the fairways were good but you had to play off a bit of carpet to protect them and the greens were in need of a cut as putting on them was very difficult but I would like to go back when there are no winter restrictions in place because it is a very nice course with some very good holes. Maybe I will go back in July or early August when it should be at it peak

Good demanding course in places, tight tree lined fairways on almost every hole, followed by well defended greens. In summer the course has some of the best greens in the area and overall is a well kept course. Well worth playing, and a challenge to all standards of golfers.
