For a course that doesn't get as much rep as all the other course's close by. It's really a shame because it's such a nice round of golf i've played in a while. Everything is looked after extremely well and it's ideal for player's new to golf all the way up to pro level in my eye's.
It's a course that keeps you wanting that little bit more everytime your there. Definately recommended to fello golfer's.

For a municipal course this is not bad at all. Undulating fairways and the odd water features make for some good variety. It has wide forgiving fairways and large receptive greens which will yield a lot of birdie opportunities for those of you out there who are good at getting on greens in regulation.
Being a municipal, the weekend green fees are cheap enough, so give it a go if your in the area. If your games in good shape you should pick up quite a few stableford points.

The course is certainly a case of wasted potential. The close proximity of a council estate means the local youths treat the course as a park. I witnessed someone riding a motorbike up one fairway, 3 kids having a sand fight in a bunked and a large group throwing tee markers at each other. I've never played golf with such a vocal crowd of on-lookers before (an experience if you'd never tried it). Only worth playing if everywhere else is closed and you get on before any of the locals wake-up.

My Dad Joe and I have played this course all year round. The fairways and greens have been well kepted throughout. A firm but fair enjoyable 18 holes, with enough variation to keep you going back.
Both novice or intermediate players will enjoy what this muni course has to offer. Quiet during the week, but tee times can get busy at weekends which is a credit to the club, as it is such a popular course. You wont get much better for under £12
Great to see a public course well maintained and holding its own with the likes of Forest Pines, Rufford Park, Worksop Golf Club, Lindrick all just a few miles away.
