Played here midweek July 07 (£20 after 5p.m.)
Pleasant if not overly exciting well conditioned traditional parkland course set in an expensive private housing estate.
The holes are fairly flat , tree lined & set in a quiet location.Excellent fairways & all the flowers & plants around the nice clubhouse/putting green looked good .I also liked the (James Braid) bunkering.
On a fairly quiet day it was annoying to be held up by an ignorant members 4 ball with an empty course in front of them. This caused play to back up 2 or 3 holes to a standstill & resulted in us having to jump from the 4th to the 13th on the empty back 9 & then play the front 9 holes that we missed at the end which spoilt things a bit.
Although it's an easy walking course it felt like a long walk round .This is due to the fact that it's nearly 7000 yards long off the whites & no fewer than 12 holes are over 400 yards .Also there's a run of long similar looking holes towards the end which makes for a slightly hard going finish.
Although there were many pleasant tree lined holes there weren't actually that many that stood out .It's ironic that 2 of the more memorable holes were the shortest par 3 (130 yard 7th) & the shortest par 4 (12th)on the course. This says to me that maybe they shouldn't have altered the original James Braid length & layout quite so much.
Overall, perfectly fine to play once but not one that really lingers in the memory.

Played here at the weekend before the big celebrity event on May bank holiday. The course was superb. At just over 6900 yards it really sorts the men out from the boys. The greens were great and very fast. Of course if you were on the wrong side of the pin a three putt was the norm. The course allows you to take the driver out on most of the holes otherwise if you had to take a 3 wood it would be very tough. One of the toughest is the 16th, a 470 yard par 4, with a very difficult green, a certain bogey hole. All the members in the club house were very friendly and would return if invited.

Played this with 7 friends in November on a Friday after rain all week had closed the course for 2 days. Despite this, the course stood up extremely well, greens were true. course is not overly difficult and we all loved the course - so much that I was a bandit and shot 88 h'cap 23, 45 points. We look forward to returning for a summer visit. Must also mention the food which was excellent - would highly recommend this to everyone.

I have recently joined Kingswood as a country Club member and have found the course, staff and members a delight. The course is superb, the fairways always in immaculate condition and the greens very true, I however did not find them to be lightening fast.
I do not believe the course to be too hard but it is always enjoyable no matter how I play. The front nine feels shorter but narrower and the back nine (obviously) longer but wider. I defy anyone not enjoy a round at this magnificent course.

Have now played here twice on corporate days, this time having exceptional weather (May 25th). Off course the club and staff were very welcoming and there is a very established felling throughout. On course the fairways were superb (easy going on the feet). The greens although very true were my main dissapointment. I prefer target golf but this was more remenissent of 'Scottish Golf', with rock hard greens which needed to be approched carefully. They were too long and extremely slow, especially when compared to the practice putting green. I play off an 8 h'cap and I struck the ball well all day (Shot 76, albeit off yellow tees), I could still not stop the ball where I wanted on the greens, even with a short iron from height. Overall, I would recommend Kingswood to anyone because it is a quality club and a very pleasent course.

The course has been elongated from the original design such that, off the back it's just short of 7000 yds. Course quality is great, superb fairways and an all round well presented course. Personally I like an undulating course, but this is not what you will find at Kingswood, it's rather flat. There are some very good holes; The 3rd, a 2 tier green surrounded by bunkers and about 190 yds is good. At the par 4. 16 th I would challenge anyboby to hit the green in 2. I would recommend this course to a long hitting player that appreciates a well maintained and established golf course.
I enjoyed Kingswood I shot a gross 70 ( 2 under par off the back tees - AND I LOVED IT)

We were made to feel very welcome by staff and members alike at Kingswood. The course itself is a good test, narrow fairways with plenty of bunkers and some good variety in the layout. Only criticism would be of the greens which were not as true as they might have been. All the same a very nice course well worth the visit.

Kingswood is always in excellent condition and has some excellent holes. The course is quite flat and long. However, it has a certain feel that you only ger from a top private club. The club house and food are worth visting for on there own.
