Lamberhurst looks as if it will be quite easy if truth be told but you soon find it is actually quite a challenge. Very often you find the ball above or below you feet, the tightness of the fairway quite scary and the views quite stunning. The greens tend to be a bit too hard really considering the slopes they have and off the course the members are, well how to put it, private types. The clubhouse is a little industrial and the facilities within it are not really up to scratch for a course charging this much. Tough course tough audience!

Lamberhurst is a very nice course set is beautiful sussex countryside. The layout is challenging for good golfers yet very playable or beginners. We have a annual golf match against there and the course has never been in ba condition even in december after lots rain. The clubhouse is tradional and the bar and restaurant are good as well. The 18th is a driveable par 4 that can decide a match. First time i drove over the green into the O.B and then hit my 3 of the tee to about 5ft and made the putt for a 4. Good course well worth a a visit

Simply excellent!
This is a very nice course and a good test of your game. I did find the distances hard to judge and so, if in doubt, take more club than less, as the greens are further away than they seem.
The flags are colour coded so that you know if the holes are at the back, centre of front of the green - what a good idea!
I played the day after the new by-pass was opened and, despite the fears of many of the members, I didn't find the additional noise intrusive.
A very enjoyable outing.
