I work in this area on a regular basis and I have often went to Ashton Golf Centre, but a colleague put me onto this place and I have to say it was quite an improvement. While many of the hole are not too difficult the long 2nd is quite a tough par 5 with a tight drive and trees and out of bounds doen both sides. The 7th is also a nice hole with a blind drive and reasonably difficult approach.
The green staff were out at almost every hole and while the greens were quite slow they were very consistent.
The 9th along the canal was a nice finish.
Despite there being almosy nothing in the way of facilities I will be back.

I found lansil golf club to be a very good one and cheap. I went with a member and it only cost me £4 all day which is extremely cheap to play at a good quality nine hole golf course for as long as you want to. as an expierienced golfer myself with an 8 handicap i found the course to meet my needs for a good practice course to use before the tournaments that i enter all over the country.

Having now played on the course twice it just seems to get better. The fairways are good but greens need a little attention, still worth the £12 fee for a day of golf.Members friendly only fault no clubhouse to have a beer afterwards.
