Played 8th October 2007 using a 2 for 1 voucher - good value at £15 each but you wouldnt want to pay anymore. The opening 8 holes are a good layout, but the rest of the course is quite dull - flat and almost featureless. Tees, fairways and greens were in good condition for the end of the season. Overall impression is that i wouldn't rush to go back.

We really enjoyed this round of golf at the Leasowe. We played on the 20th July 2006. The club members were very communicative and helpful. We experienced a links course next to the Hoylake. Value for our money - great. Clubhouse is old-fashioned. The green were perfect and the tee boxes were more then okay. Because of the very sunny summer season the rest of the course went to all colours of brown.

With the Open Championship coming to the Wirral in 2006 you might expect that the courses nearby might start ripping people off to try and cash in.......I am pleased to say that there is nothing like that going on at Leasowe, one of the nearest neighbours of the Open venue.
I have always been a fan of Leasowe, perhaps a "forgotten" club in the area, despite the more famous (and expensive) Wallasey course just over the fence.
Since my last visit several years ago Leasowe has undergone some modifications on a couple of holes and still makes for a great round of links golf.
Everywhere looks better in the sunshine but the presentation of the course was superb with manicured fairways and the ever immaculate greens.
The mix of holes provides a fair challenge for all and the wind always plays a part, adding to the entertainment.
You can't go wrong for £27 for the full day, with excellent catering and welcoming members in the clubhouse.
If you are coming to the 2006 Open you should make time for a game here, but why wait until then?

I have played this course regularly over the past ten years as a member and I feel it has improved year by year. I recommend that visitors who play the course will be siutably impressed with the layout generally and find it a true test of golf particularly when the wind blows.

This course is a gem! I played a North Wales vs Cheshire match here. It was late May and cold, but the course was in superb condition, the fairways where very professionally striped, which Im sure could be seen from space! The greens where the highlight for me, they were fantastic, fast, true and holding good shots, what more could you want? The first hole is a pleasent hole with a castle wall surrounding the green....nice. Their are too many good holes for me to go through them all plus I would only spoil it for you. I have no links with this course what so ever, but what I will say is that if you don`t play this course you`ll only be letting yourself down....EXCELLENT!!! Mind you I did win my foursomes and singles matches....perhaps that`s why I love it? Don`t think so!! It`s great!!

Very welcoming club and enjoyable round. The course is playable links for all levels, which can take a turn for the worse in a strong wind. Third hole is excellent fun, with a blind approach to a sheltered green. Course played in good condition and drained well in the rain. Overall, great value for money.
