Played the course in a 2 ball for the 1st time 10/2/08 and to be honest i was not impressed at all:(
I would put it in the same catagory as concord golf course(Sheffield) which is 1/3 of the price.
Never saw a greenkeeper for all the round, the Tee and next Tee information was poor, there were 2 temp greens in which 1 was well away from the proper green and hidden beind a tree.
I just hope that the summer brings the best out of this course but it definetaly needs upgrading.
very disapointed.

After just the first hole, i knew the course wouldn't be getting any better. Out of all the courses within sheffield and the surounding areas that i have played, i would class this as the worst!! I was under the impression that this was a leading club, but found the tees to be like mud baths, fairways like playing fields and the greens like sponges. Very disappointed.

Lees Hall is a well maintained course with some challenging holes and great views across to the Steel City. However while happy to accept visitor bookings and hence their cash, the experience for myself and my friend as non-members was less than welcoming. We encountered a definite 'attitude' toward us, bordering on suspicion and hostility, more akin perhaps to what you might expect at Muirfield or Carnoustie than an unheralded inner city course in Sheffield. In my opinion there are better courses around South Yorkshire offering greater value for money and a more welcoming atmosphere.

Great...had a great game on the park land course, good food and a warm welcome from all the members.
Well worth a visit.
