I recently played Leighton Buzzard Golf Club and I could not have played a more wonderful golf course. The Pro Shop staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If you ever get the chance play there because it will test your ability to hit the ball straight.

It is great fun!

I played here later November. The welcome in the pro-shop was not that friendly or helpful as they only accept cash for the green fees, even though they have a debit/credit card machine which you can only use if you buy something from the pro shop.

This is a private members club, which did not impress.

The course itself was very unimpressive.

I was disappointed with several aspects of the course: the greens are slow, bumpy and rock hard; Tees are uneven; drainage is a big problem. The 9th and 10th holes share the same fairway and when chipping onto the 9th green I had to come off the fairway to allow people to tee of the 10th.

This course is really disjointed and has no natural flow and one of the tees is a 5 minute work from the pervious green.

Most of the course feels crammed in, with the fairways, tees and greens too close together.

The clubhouse, which could do with some updating also again, only accept cash or cheque.

Overpriced and needs drastically bringing into the 21st century.

We played yesterday on luckily one of best days of the summer...it is an interesting course.

The clubhouse is first class and looks fairly new and the facilities are spot on,the bar and restaurant had a pleasant feel and we all felt the members welcomed groups and were quite chatty.The staff we equally pleasant and efficient and have to mention our society were accomodated at late notice and what we felt was a reasonable price.

As for the course it may have helped to have played before,as lots of holes have blind shots both from the tee and the fairway,however it makes you think and club selection is vital.The first nine is where you should score your points,the ninth itself is a very tricky par three with a tree guarding the green and wont suit anyone with a slice.The back nine changes complexion and has a feel of Woburn or even Portugal in place,the tenth is a tricky dog leg left requiring two accurate shots to another well guarded green,the next is a downhill par three which would not be out of place on any course,played through an extremely narrow gap between the trees......a great hole.After a long walk to the next tee the course opens up a little until you reach 16 which again needs two accurate shots to an elevated green and the card wrecking potential of 17 and 18.17 is just dead straigh,there is no room for error,maybe a five iron off of the tee followed by a short iron into the green,18 has to be played up another narrow gap and keep left otherwise you dont have an angle to hit a well protected elevated sloping green

I played here mid-May on a sunny Thursday morning. The welcome in the pro-shop was friendly and helpful and although the club gave impression of being typical a Home Counties private members' institution we did not come across any stuffiness or unnecessary over-bearing members/officials.

The course itself was good but with a number of reservations.

On the positive side there were large numbers of beautiful trees (a number of the holes were remeniscent of Woburn), most holes were well designed and the par 3s were all interesting.

However, I was disappointed with several aspects of the course: the greens were ok but fairly slow and slightly bumpy; some tees were distinctly unlevel; drainage appeared to be a problem on several of the holes on the back-nine; most holes were too short to be genuinely challenging (unlike Woburn) and there were too many occasions where fairways, tees and greens were too close together.

The par 3 11th is apparently renowned as a great par 3 and whilst impressive I reckon it could have done with a bit more length.

The clubhouse was great with views over several holes.

Overall, I enjoyed the course but I reckon £40.00 was well overpriced.

Played Leighton Buzzard today, using 2 fore 1 voucher and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable day out.

The course itself was in excellent condition, with the greens running very true. Whilst none of the holes are particularly long, everyone presents a very different challenge, with a number of dog-legs and sheer drops to the side of the fairways and greens. Definitely a thinking mans course, rather than one for the "Driver Brigade". The majority of the course is tree lined, although what appears to the newer part of the course onthe back 9 is more open.

The signature hole is the short par 3 11th, where you tee off through what can only be described as a narrow clearing in the trees to the green some 70 odd feet below - stunning. The 18th is also a wonderful hole, but has the potential to completely wreck your card.

We found all the members of staff to be courteous and helpful. The food and drink in the bar was well priced and offered a great view over the 18th green.

Whether it is worth £38 a round is debatable, but if you've got 2 fore 1 vouchers, then it's a bargin. I look forward to going back.

A delightful course which has a mixture of very tight fairway's and dog leg holes. The greens are in excellent condition and although the course is not long, most players would struggle to play to their handicap. The 11th is one of the most beautiful par 3 holes in the UK.
