im a junior member at Leominster golf course and i think it is a fabulos course. i have played at every course in herefordshire and nearly every course the west midlands, and i can say that Leominster comes in the top 5 at least. The clubhouse is excellant nad the professional is particlay friendly to juniors aswell as adults and seniors. At the peak of the season the holes are superb condition. It offers a variety of holes, from 500yrd par 5's to 100yrd par 3's. Even though i have been a member for 3 years i did not recognise the layout of the old 9 until a few weeks ago. Every plyer is well mannered and are all friendly to juniors. I give Leominster a slolid 8.5/9 out of 10

We visited Leominster GC in July and all 32 of us enjoyed playing the course. We played 27 holes and were glad we had booked buggies. There are some really great holes on the course and the greens are very quick!
The food was very good and we were well looked after!

Played this course July 2001, I would agree with the other comments, that it is not the easiest walk, however I did not find the greens to next tee any further than most other courses I have played. This was our second visit to this course, the other in 2000. The course was again in excellent condition and by using a 2-fore-1 voucher, at £7.75 a round, you will not get better value. I would recommend this course to anyone thinking of playing in the area.

Its no wonder the locals look so fit! This course is one hell of a hill climb. Hire a sherpa if possible. Some notable holes, particuarley the few near the river.(beware the walk from the preceeding par 3, they should at least put in proper steps, it seems an accident waiting to happen)I quite enjoyed it all the same.

I played Leominster whilst holidaying in the area in Sept 99, and would not recommend it.
It's history as a 9 hole course extended to 18 is clear from the layout, with many long walks between each hole.
To be fair the course, especially the greens, was in pretty good condition, and the 2 holes alongside the river are worth a visit.
But if you want to play a scenic course in this area try Kington, and if you want a top quality course in great condition that also has great scenery then go to the Herefordshire.
