Really enjoyed playing here during their festival week the course was in great condition some challenging doglegs on front nine and very well positioned ditches on the back nine in places, very scenic course with crystal clear streams running through some of the fairways, the 13th and 17th look great stood looking from the tee.
Overall I would say excellent course to play, combined with some of the most helpful members, and staff I have come across since I have been playing the game, and would say if you live within an hours drive its well worth the trip even if the £16.50 2fore 1 price sounds relatively dear compared to other courses.
Also wide range of beers and food at reasonable prices served by friendly staff in their recently built new clubhouse to round the day off

An enjoyable challenge on a very attractive woodland course. Slightly expensive if not using 2 4 1 but members and pro are welcoming. Clubhouse being rebuilt so facilities slightly limited at present.

whilst a lovely course some of the features on the course let it down the ponds were a disgrace full of weed and low water levels on the 5th hole
the greens were poor and they all played at different speeds
food in the clubhouse was good and plenty, especially the carvery
a joy to eat. bar prices were cheap.

Can't understand comment about slow greens. Played at start of August and they were quite fast.
The course is interesting with some good dog legs. There is trouble down the left on nearly every hole, conditions were good apart however the dryness around the greens. This meant it was impossible to hold the greens, links style golf often needed. A good course, although only good value if played on a 2 fore 1, £23 each.

Beautiful course in Charnwood Forest. Front 9 twisty with interesting dog legs, but driver not really required. Would not describe the front 9 as anything more than moderate difficulty. Back 9 situated across the busy road and are more modern. Longer holes requiring decent drive, but still same lovely atmosphere. I think its one of the nicest course in Leicestershire, and the welcome at the Club House and from the Pro make it a course I look forward to returning to.

the course was lovely to play although the greens were very slow. The two ponds on holes 4 and 5 were overgrown and spoilt the view on those holes . a good test of golf.length no important on the front nine but a factor on the back nine. the bunkers were a tad to deep withsand in places. mole hills were abundant and in need of repair as were some of the bare patches of ground. a neat course but could do better in presentining itself
